For many years I have struggled with my weight and consider myself to have an unhealthy relationship with food. In particular chocolate.  Over the years I have used food to make me feel better or seen it as a “treat” and have eaten on every emotion going, e.g. happy, sad, bored, upset, stressed, the list goes on!

I would have huge cravings and would often go on a chocolate binge. Usually I would binge in secret, going out to the shop and buying lots of bars of chocolate. I would eat them on the way home, and then sneak the wrappers in the bin, so my husband wouldn’t see them. I have actually made up excuses to go out for petrol, or a newspaper, so I could get my chocolate fix. I would also buy more at the weekend.

Since having the sessions with Dawn, last summer, I have not had any chocolate cravings. The chocolate binges have stopped and I can take it or leave it. I’ve not bought any except for a tin at Christmas.

Usually at Christmas I’ve got bought tin, but also extra boxes, e.g. liqueurs, after Dinner mints (any excuse!!)

This year, other people have bought me chocolates, but they were given to my husband, sister and nieces.
